Where is #DiscoverBMB located?

#DiscoverBMB is located at the Seattle Convention Center Arch Building, 705 Pike Street, Seattle, WA, 98101.

Is the program schedule available online?

The full meeting program is available online and will be available on the mobile app onsite during the meeting. 

If I paid the abstract fee do I still need to register for the meeting?

Yes. The abstract fee does not cover your registration. You must register separately for the meeting.

Do I need to be a member to attend?

No, but the registration fees are reduced for ASBMB members.

Can I register onsite and what payment options are accepted?

Yes, you may register onsite. Payments can only be made via credit card.

Where and when can I pick up my badge once onsite in Seattle?

Attendees can pick up their badge at the registration desk located in the Atrium Lobby on level 4 of the Seattle Convention Center. See registration hours. Badges are required to access the session rooms and the exhibit hall.

What do I do if I lose my badge?

Registered attendees can visit the registration desk for a replacement badge. Please note that there is a charge of $20 for badge replacement.

I can no longer attend #DiscoverBMB how can I cancel my registration?

Please refer to the cancellation policy.

I can no longer present my talk/poster who do I contact?

Please contact meetings@asbmb.org. If on site, please visit the registration desk.

What time zone is the meeting in?

#DiscoverBMB will take place in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).

Will transportation be provided?

Individuals are responsible for their own transportation to/from the meeting and to/from the networking reception at the Seattle Aquarium.

Are lodging and meals included with registration?

Lodging and meals are not included with registration. To book your hotel visit the #DiscoverBMB housing site.

The concession stand inside the exhibit hall will be open for the purchase of food and beverages Sunday–Tuesday. Other food options are available within walking distance of the convention center.

I’m driving to attend #DiscoverBMB, where should I park?

Parking is available at the Seattle Convention Center Arch Main Garage located on 8th Avenue between Pike & Seneca Streets at 1400 8th Avenue. Clearance is 6’5” and garage hours are 5:30 a.m. – 12:00 a.m., seven days a week. More information and parking rates can be found here. Please check with your hotel for parking policies and rates.

Are daily guest passes offered?

Guest badges are intended for use by a spouse, family member or significant other accompanying a paid registrant. The cost of the guest badge is $150 per day.

If you would like your guest to attend your session to hear your talk, you must register for the guest badge ($150 per day). Your guest must be present with you at the registration desk and agree to abide by ASBMB policies to obtain a guest badge. Guest badges are not replaceable if lost. Children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the exhibit hall or sessions and are not eligible for a guest badge.

Will childcare be available onsite in Seattle?

No. Individuals are responsible for setting up childcare during the meeting dates.

What is the health and safety policy?

COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are recommended for anyone attending the meeting. Mask-wearing and other requirements will be based on the local and state guidelines and will be communicated with attendees before the start of the event. See the full health and safety policy.

Is there a private area for nursing or a quiet/prayer room?

Yes. Room locations will be communicated onsite.

Am I permitted to take photographs/videos of talks or poster presentations?

Please refer to our photography and recording policy.

Where can I get my certificate of attendance?

You can log into your ASBMB account (the same account you logged into to register for the meeting) to obtain your certificate of participation beginning early April.
