#DiscoverBMB is a gathering of discoverers — students, trainees, investigators, educators and industry professionals — who are working to unlock the secrets of the molecular life sciences and solve some of the world’s grandest challenges.

The #DiscoverBMB registration fee includes access to award lectures, symposia sessions, spotlight sessions, poster presentations, workshops, interest groups, career development talks, one-on-one mentoring, meet up networking activities, meet the experts, exhibit hall, poster receptions and welcome reception. Tickets to the #DiscoverBMB networking reception at the Seattle Aquarium can be purchased during registration.

* Graduate students and post-baccalaureate: To be eligible for the graduate student/post-baccalaureate rate, you must be enrolled in a graduate or professional degree program and have not yet earned a doctoral degree or engaged in post-baccalaureate training/research. You must have a department head or your research adviser certify your eligibility. If registering online, enter the name and email address of your adviser or your department head. Postdoctoral fellows, hospital residents, interns and laboratory technicians do not qualify as students.

** Undergraduate students: To be eligible for the undergraduate student rate, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and have not yet earned a baccalaureate degree. You must certify your student eligibility. If registering online enter the name and email address of your department head.

*** High school students: To be eligible for the high school student rate, you must be enrolled in a high school and accompanied by a registered teacher or chaperone. Students are required to email a verification letter from their school teacher or principle listing the student’s name and current enrollment/grade, as well as the name and cellphone number of the chaperone accompanying the student to the #DiscoverBMB meeting to meetings@asbmb.org by Feb. 15, 2023. High school students who do not submit the letter of verification from their school or who do not have a registered chaperone attending the meeting will not be permitted access to the meeting and their registration will be canceled without refund.

**** High school teachers: To be eligible for the high school teacher rate, you must be employed by a high school and not affiliated in any way with a university. Teachers are required to email a verification letter from their school administrator or principal to meetings@asbmb.org by Feb. 15, 2023. High school teachers who do not submit the letter of verification from their school will not be permitted access to the meeting and their registration will be canceled without refund.

Cancellation and refund policy

Requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing to meetings@asbmb.org by Feb. 28, 2023. A $50 non-refundable processing fee will be deducted from the refund for requests received by Feb. 28, 2023. No refunds will be issued for cancelation requests received after Feb. 28, 2023. Substitutions are permitted at any time but must be requested in writing to meetings@asbmb.org and be of the same registration rate or higher.
