The mechanisms of metabolism feature prominently in health and disease. This lecture will examine emerging trends and insights into the metabolic pathways that make or break a cell’s success. Alex Toker of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Biological Chemistry, will chair the session.

About the speaker

Lydia Finley is the Geoffrey Beene Junior Faculty Chair at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her lab investigates how cellular metabolic pathways regulate cell fate decisions in stem cells and cancer cells. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University and completed postdoctoral studies in the lab of Craig Thompson at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
